Caren Z. Turner, Esq.

CEO of Turner Government & Public Affairs

Caren Z. Turner is the CEO of Turner Government & Public Affairs where she plays an active role in every client’s government and public affairs strategy. Campaigns led by Turner GPA are noted for their high energy, intense focus and no nonsense approach.

She has been referred to as “a woman on a mission” (CBS TV), creating legislative solutions where “pigs fly” (NRA News) and having an “iron fist in a velvet glove”. With over twenty-five years federal government relations experience, she has earned the respect of both Republican and Democratic policymakers. Her solutions to business problems are innovative, often radically different from the “norm” and designed to maximize her client’s bottom line with minimal legislative tinkering.

Given Ms. Turner’s training as a litigator, presentations to policymakers are fact intensive and designed to highlight a convincing business and policy “case”. She advocates winning on the merits of the argument, not on the contacts. Moreover, she has instilled in the firm that Turner GPA must “do it right or don’t do it at all.”

Ms. Turner is proud to have won several eight figure benefits on behalf of clients. She looks forward to taking on a nine figure challenge! Business issues on which Ms. Turner has worked include: defense, aerospace, tax policy, international trade, health care, Medicare and biotechnology. “Social issues” include: gun safety, genetic ethics and standards, discrimination, children’s advocacy, domestic violence, and cancer research. Clients range from several Fortune 500′s to small not for profits.

Ms. Turner was on the National Finance Committee, Hillary Clinton for President, Finance Committee for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ). Ms. Turner was an Honorary Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) Business Advisory Council, and a member of the Presidential Business Commission. Ms. Turner worked for Sen. William Proxmire (D-WI) on the Senate Banking Committee, and served as an intern for Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA).
